Luanna Burton Daniel

Ms. Luanna Burton Daniel of South Boston, VA passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023 at the Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA.  She was born July 7, 1969 in Halifax County, VA and was 53 years old.  She was the daughter of the late James W. Burton, Jr. and Patricia Francis Burton, who survives.

She was of the Methodist faith and retired from the Halifax County Public School System.  Luanna was known for her bright smile and devotion to her cats.  She was known for her unfiltered advice and honesty and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Stewart officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home and other times at the home of her mother, 1104 Waddell Lane, South Boston, VA
