Mae Carlene Martin Walker

Mae Carlene Martin Walker of Scottsburg passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024.  She was born in Halifax County on May 7, 1937 and was 86 years old.  She was the daughter of the late Letcher Martin and the late Macie Newton Martin.  She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. 

Mae Carlene Walker is survived by her husband, Ralph Maynard Walker; her children, Curtis Walker and wife Sue, Larry Walker and wife Gale; her sister Gearldine Watts; five grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Lloyd and a sister Edith Wagstaff.

Mae lived life to its fullest by treasuring each day given.  She enjoyed going to yard sales, flea markets, tending to her flower gardens and especially riding the Harley Davidson motorcycle with her husband.  She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
