Marion Dore' Keegan Wilkerson

Mrs. Marion Dore’ Keegan Wilkerson of South Boston, VA passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023. She was born in New York on May 7, 1935 and was 87 years old. She was the daughter of the late James Alexander Keegan Sr. and the late Marion Dore’ Keegan and was married to the late Troy Maxwell Wilkerson. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and was the Communion Chairperson. She was known for gardening and her knack for interior decorating. She loved to share her stories of all her life experiences. Being married to a 20 year Air Force Veteran and traveling all over the world, she had many stories to tell. Survivors include: Two granddaughters Shannon Dore’ Taylor of Suffolk, VA Kelly Renee Outlaw of Suffolk, VA Grandchildren Morgan Taylor, Caitlin Outlaw, and Lauren Outlaw Her brother Robert Keegan of Quakertown, PA Son-in-law Billy Savage of Portsmouth, VA Sister-in-law Janice Irby Snead of Halifax Brother-in-law Don Wilkerson and wife Betty of Halifax She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Joyce Savage A funeral service will be held at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Thad Decker conducting the service. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home Sunday for one hour prior to the service.
