Mary Powell Burton

Mary Powell Burton of Scottsburg, VA passed away October 16, 2018.  She was born in Campbell County, VA on December 12, 1927 and was 90 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Giles Powell and Annie Cox Powell. She was married to the late Robert Berkley Burton, Sr.

She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she was a member of the WMU and former Sunday School teacher.  She loved cooking and feeding her family and friends.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Smith and Rev. Vance Midgett officiating. Private burial at a later date.

The family will receive friends Sunday one hour prior to the service at Bethel Baptist Church and other times at the home of Bobcat and Barbara Whitlow, 1225 Hardings Mill Road, Nathalie, VA.
