Mary Newbill Carlton

Mary Ann Newbill Carlton of South Boston, VA passed away December 8, 2022.   She was born in Halifax County, VA on February 22, 1932 and was 90 years of age.  She was the daughter of the late Hampton Hudson Newbill and the late Livian Wimbish Newbill.  She was married to Bennie Lee Carlton who survives.

She was a faithful member of Trinity Episcopal Church.  Mary loved painting, reading, and helping people no matter the problem.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Susan Grimm officiating.

The family will receive friends Sunday, during a reception in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service at Trinity Episcopal Church.  Burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery.
