Mary Elizabeth "Betsy" Jones

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth “Betsy” Perkins Jones of Halifax, VA passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born in Halifax County on July 2,1961 and was 63 years old. She was the daughter of the late Archer Raymond Perkins and the late Kathryn Clark Perkins. She graduated from Halifax County Senior High School in 1979. Betsy has been married for the last sixteen years to her devoted husband Lucas Roy Jones. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church and was a former employee of The Woodview, now known as South Boston Health and Rehab for 15 years and an employee of Burlington for over 20 years previous to that. In Betsy’s spare time, she loved spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved cats.
