Maude Eulalia Throckmorton Thomas

Mrs. Maude Eulalia Throckmorton Thomas of Scottsburg, VA passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Serenity at Sentara Woodview.  She was born in Halifax County on March 12, 1931 and was 88 years old.  She was the daughter of the late Walter Abraham Throckmorton and the late Nora Vaughan Throckmorton and was married to the late Clyde Swanson Thomas.  She was a member of Scottsburg Baptist Church. She loved sewing, cooking, canning, and working in her yard and flowers. Survivors include:Her ChildrenLoretta T. Terry Scearce, Rev. Susan Davis, and Rev. Kermit Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Scottsburg Baptist Church for one hour prior to the service and other times at her home, 2083 Green Level Road, Scottsburg.
