Mildred Girdie Adkins Throckmorton

Mildred Girdie Adkins Throckmorton of South Boston, VA passed away July 31, 2019.  She was born in Pittsylvania County on September 23, 1929 and was 89 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Edgar Irvin Adkins and the late Willie Margaret Davis Adkins Stanley. She was married to the late Leonard Grayson Throckmorton.

She was a member of Catawba Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and President of the WMU.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Catawba Baptist Church with the Rev. LeRoy Davis officiating. Burial to follow in church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at her home, 1071 Acorn Rd., Nathalie, VA.
