Molly Rae McKinney Campbell, beloved Occupational Therapy Assistant, passed away on January 14, 2024. She was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, and friend. Molly's warm heart and kind spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.
Molly Rae McKinney Campbell was born to Johnny McKinney (Donna) and Mary M. Loftis-Hall (Richard) in Halifax. She was a joy in their lives and brought so much laughter to her family. Growing up, Molly shared countless adventures and memories with her brother, Grant Brizendine (Elizabeth). Their sibling bond was unbreakable through the years. They supported each other through thick and thin and created lifelong memories that will be cherished forever. Molly also leaves behind two other brothers. Johnny McKinney II (Morgan) and Jared McKinney (Maria) that she shared many fond memories with and her nephew, Wade McKinney. A grandfather who adored Molly in every way, Vince Loftis.
As a mother, Molly's love for her son Finley Campbell knew no bounds. She poured all her love and dedication into raising him to be the remarkable person he is today. Her unconditional love will forever remain in Finley's heart.
Molly also leaves behind two cousins who were like sisters to her – Kelly Henderson (Jay) and Shelly Beadles (Andy). Their bond was unbreakable, and they shared countless memories together that created an unshakable foundation of love. Throughout the years, Jay loved and treated Molly as a little sister. In addition to her immediate family, Molly is survived by her beloved pet Willow Bean. Willow was more than just a pet, she was a loyal companion who brought comfort during both good times and bad.
Molly was cherished by her loving aunts and uncles, Ricky and Vickie Loftis and Kenneth and Donna Loftis. She leaves behind other special sets of grandparents to Finley, Donnie and Kelly Brizendine, Linda Wagstaff, and Nettie Irby.
She held a special place in her heart for her beloved late grandmother Helen Loftis, as well as her late grandparents Franklin and Virginia McKinney.
Throughout her life, Molly pursued many passions that brought her immense joy. She had an infectious sense of humor and loved playing pranks on those around her. Her laughter filled every room she entered, brightening the lives of those lucky enough to know her.
Molly had a green thumb and found joy in flower gardening. Furthermore, she had an eye for antiques that held stories from the past, appreciating their unique beauty.
A true nature enthusiast, Molly found joy in taking care of her chickens and exploring the wonders of the great outdoors. She was captivated by historic graveyards, appreciating their significance and the stories they held within their hallowed grounds. Molly had a fascination for oddities and curiosities, always embracing the uniqueness that the world had to offer. Among her other hobbies, Molly loved fishing, hiking, nature, and loving on all animals.
Molly's life will be celebrated with a Visitation and Funeral Service, January 17, 2024. The Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM followed by the Funeral Service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Winns Creek Baptist Church in Halifax, Virginia. Addressing the grief of losing such a remarkable soul is no easy task but by coming together as a community of love and support we will help her family and friends get through such a trying time.
