Myrtle Lillian Snead Rickmond

Mrs. Myrtle Lillian Snead Rickmond of Scottsburg, VA passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020 at her home. She was born June 20, 1934 in Halifax County, VA and was 86 years old. She was the daughter of the late George Snead and the late Gladys Vaughan Snead and was married to the late Eugene Spurgeon “Toady” Rickmond. She was a member of Fork Baptist Church. Survivors include: Her children Donald “Rick”Rickmond of Roxboro Sandra R. Conner and husband Jerry of Scottsburg Ronald “Critty” Rickmond of Scottsburg Four grandchildlren Chasen Rickmond Jennifer Conner Ronald Lee Rickmond Jr. Dena Michelle Rickmond Four great grandchildren Connor Watts, Kayden Conner, Traven Conner, and Layla Michelle Jones Preceded in death by one grandson, Jerry Brann Conner, Jr., five siblings, Willie Bell Carver, Nora Elleyn Rutledge, Lucille Anderson, Ed Snead, and Ralph Snead. A special thank you to Sentara Halifax Regional Hospice and Home Health for their special care and support. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Fork Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ken Warfield officiating. The family will receive friends Immediately following the service at Fork Baptist Church and other times at her home.
