Nancy Perkins Conner, a beloved member of her community in Vernon Hill, VA, sadly passed away on November 11, 2023. She leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Born on November 17, 1946, in Halifax County, to the late Jeff and Lizzy Perkins, Nancy was an embodiment of grace and compassion. Throughout her life, Nancy's unwavering commitment to both her career and family showcased her extraordinary character. After retiring from Burlington, where she dedicated countless years of hard work, Nancy's nurturing spirit led her to become a trusted childcare provider. Nancy's gentle soul found solace in her faith as she was a lifelong member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church. Her unwavering devotion to God and the church community offered guidance and comfort to those around her. Additionally, Nancy attended Oak Level Presbyterian Church where she cultivated friendships rooted in shared values and profound spirituality. Nancy was fond of her crossword puzzles, lottery tickets, classic T.V., and her flowers. Nancy will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 14^th 2023 1:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron McCracken officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Grove Christian Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Powell Funeral Home the night prior, Monday, November 13^th from 7:00-8:30 P.M..
