Nancy Willis Evans

Nancy (Dawson) Willis Evans of Rock Hill, S.C. passed away on Wednesday Nov. 3 at VCU Health in Richmond VA. She was born on Sept. 25, 1937, to the late Tom Wylie and Teel Dawson Willis, she was 84 Years of age.

She was married to the late Robert Holt Evans of Halifax, VA. She attended Salem College before marrying Holt to travel and live a full life in many countries before finally settling down at 415 Mountain Rd., Halifax, VA.

Nancy and Holt were very active in the community, supporting the Prizery and South Boston-Halifax County Museum, along with many other organizations, charities, and local businesses. Nancy was also an avid bridge player.

She is survived by her two children Robert Holt and Elizabeth Teel Evans, their spouses Anna Evans and Michael Taylor, and eight grandchildren, Alex, Nicholas, Eliza, Dawson, Trent, Malin, John and Laura.

The service will be held at St Johns Episcopal on Mountain Rd, Halifax VA on Saturday Nov. 13 at 1:00 pm followed by a reception at 415 Mountain Rd. There will also be an ongoing open house at her home, 415 Mountain Rd, from 6 pm Friday Nov 12 throughout the weekend.
