Oabe "Pete" Lee Loftis

Oabe “Pete” Lee Loftis of South Boston, VA passed away September 3, 2018.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on February 18, 1945 and was 73 years of age. He was the son of the late Addie Smith Bumpass. He was married to Frances Conner Loftis who survives.

He was a member of Bethel Hill Baptist Church and he retired from Louisa Pacific.

Graveside service will be held Friday, September 7, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. Bethel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Robbie Dunn officiating. The family request casual dress for the service.

The family will receive friends Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at his home, 1065 Boyd’s Ferry Trail, South Boston, VA.
