Mr. Ocie C. Clay Jr. of Halifax, VA passed away Friday, December 30, 2022, at his home. He was born May 9, 1947, in Halifax County, VA and was 75 years old. He was the son of the late Ocie Calvin Clay Sr. and the late Lula Walker Clay. Mr. Clay was married to the late Mary Frances Clay. Bud was of the Baptist faith and loved to sing Bluegrass music. He was also fond of gardening especially tomatoes.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at the Clay Family Cemetery with Pastor Kelley Culpepper officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Powell Funeral Home from 7:00-8:30 P.M. and other times at the home of his daughter Brenda Chappell, 1303 Whitlow Road, Red Oak, VA 23964.
