Patricia Newbill Cole

Patricia Newbill Cole of Alton, VA passed away June 2, 2022.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on September 15, 1934, and was 87 years of age.  She was the daughter of the late Eugene Earl Newbill and the late Elizabeth Priest Newbill. She was first married to the late Milton Ray Meade and then to the late Alexander Bruce Cole.

She was a member of Black Walnut Baptist Church where she was the first Deaconess, taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Patricia was also a past member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.  Patricia loved reading, crossword puzzles, bowling and especially the beach.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, June 5, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond Wooten officiating. Burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home and other times at the home of Pam Stauble, 2227 Alton Post Office Rd, Alton, VA.
