Pauline Slate Henderson

Mrs. Pauline Slate Henderson of Vernon Hill, VA passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 at her home.  She was born in Halifax County, VA.   She was the daughter of the late Henry Ivie Slate and the late Sally Anne Satterfield Slate and was married to the late Carl E. Henderson, Sr.

She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Christian Church and a retired teacher’s aid for Halifax County Public Schools for over 28 years.  She loved to split and stack wood, the summer swimming pool and cooking for her family.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday November 30, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the Pleasant Grove Christian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Harvey Spencer officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
