Peggy Geraldine Oakes Womack of Halifax, VA passed away February 25, 2019.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on December 26, 1942 and was 76 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Cullen Oakes and the late Blanche Crews Oakes. She was married to Ethan Allen Womack.

She was a member of South Boston Church of God.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at South Boston Church of God at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. T. Wayne Daniels officiating. Burial to follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, at South Boston Church of God from 7:00 until 8:30 and other times at the home of Tammy and Dean Childrey, 1230 High View Road, Halifax, VA.
