Robert Thompson Blount

Mr. Robert T. “Bob” Blount of Clover, VA passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the home of his son, Bruce Blount in Richmond, VA.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on January 10, 1944 and was 74 years old.  He was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin Blount and the late Ina Ligon Blount.

He was a member of the Mt. Laurel United Methodist Church and the Halifax County Sportsman Club.  Mr. Blount was retired from Norfolk/ Southern Railroad.

David Bruce Blount and fiancé Katrina Brownie of Richmond, VA
Robert Franklin “Bobby” Blount and wife Laura of Powhatan, VA

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 6, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Pizzeck officiating.

Burial will follow in the Clover Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home.
