Robert "Bob" William Bates, Jr.

Robert William “Bob” Bates, Jr. of Vernon Hill, VA passed away December 17, 2020.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on August 4, 1963 and was 57 years of age. He was the son of Robert William Bates, Sr. and Helen C. Bates who survive. He was married to Tammy S. Bates who survives.

He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Bob loved the outdoors, golfing and he will be remembered as a loving son, husband and father.

A graveside service will be held Monday, December 21, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Hanson officiating.
