Sandra Smith Talley

Mrs. Sandra Smith Talley of Virgilina, VA passed away May 18, 2023.  She was born on November 29, 1943 in Halifax County, VA to the late Chester Warren Smith and the late Edna Yates Smith.  She was the beloved wife of Fontaine Talley who survives.

She was of the Baptist faith.  Sandra retired from Burlington Industries after many years of dedicated service.  Upon her retirement, she discovered Facebook and enjoyed sharing stories and pictures with family and friends.  However, her greatest joy was in her family, from bragging about her grandchildren to just spending time with all her family.  Her passing leaves a void, but her memory will live on through the love she shared with her family and friends.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Virgilina Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Talley officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 6:30 until 8:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at her home.
