Stephanie Ann King Eales

Stephanie returned to the Lord May 6, 2024, surrounded by family and friends after a courageous journey living with ALS. Stephanie was born April 4, 1971, in Marietta, Ohio, to Nancy (Sealock) King and Michael King.  After completing her schooling in McConnelsville, Ohio, Stephanie pursued a Social Work Degree at Ohio University in Athens, and graduated in 1994.  She married in July of 1997 and furthered her education, completing a degree in Nursing in 2001 and eventually became a Certified Professional Midwife in 2009.  Stephanie served as a missionary for several weeks in Chad, Mali, Haiti and the Philippines.  She also worked as a midwife to the Mennonite and Amish communities of southern Ohio and Virginia for many years.  Stephanie was an accomplished vocalist and Bible study leader. She loved all animals, nature, and music.  She is survived by her parents, beloved husband Peter, children Caleb and Elizabeth, siblings Gregg (Tracy) King, Robin (King) Griffin, Melissa (Adam) Satterthwaite, and William (Carrie) King, several nieces, nephews, and friends. Burial will be private with family. A celebration of life to be held at Beth Car Baptist Church, 25 Church St., Halifax, VA, 24558, Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 11 am with a reception immediately following.
