Susan Hedrick Granger

It is with great sadness that the family of Susan Hedrick Granger of Halifax, VA announce her passing on February 9, 2023. She was born in Danville, VA on January 16, 1958 and was 65 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Bernard Hedrick and the late Virginia Dishman Hedrick. She was married to the late William Marshall “Bill” Granger. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal. Susan taught for the Halifax County School System and the City of Danville. She enjoyed knitting, reading and loved helping children. She will be remembered in love by all who knew her. Susan H. Granger is survived by: Her Son Andrew Lee Marshall “Drew” Granger and partner Austin Quarles of Halifax One Brother Bruce Hedrick of Danville A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the St. John's Episcopal Church cemetery. In keeping with Susan's wishes, all that attend are to ask to please wear colorful attire. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home. For memorials, please consider a charity of your choice.
