Sylvia Conner Purcell Corum

Mrs. Sylvia Conner Purcell Corum of South Boston, VA passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the Commonwealth Assisted Living.  She was born May 23, 1926 in Halifax County, VA and was 96 years old.  She was the daughter of the late J. Walter Conner and the late Fannie Irby Conner and was married first to the late Charles F. Purcell, Sr. and then to the late Buford T. Corum.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a retired bookkeeper for Pextile, Inc.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Halifax Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Garrett Bowman officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
