Sylvia Cliborne Reese

Sylvia Cliborne Reese of Halifax passed away October 18, 2024 at the age of 76. She was born in Halifax County on December 4, 1947 to the late William Edward Cliborne and Nannie Elliott Cliborne. She was married for years to Roy Wilson Reese, Jr., who survives. 

 She was of the Baptist Faith and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, past President and past President of the Fifth District. Sylvia retired from the Gazette Virginian as a Composition Specialist after 40 years of dedicated service. In her free time, she loved gardening and tending to her flowers.

 A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Halifax Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Thad Decker officiating. 

 The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
