Tammy Seamster Bates

Tammy Seamster Bates of South Boston, VA passed away March 24, 2022.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on July 27, 1972 and was 49 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Cleveland Seamster and the late Linda Lloyd Seamster. She was married to the late Robert "Bob "W. Bates, Jr.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.  Tammy loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed being on the lake, camping excursions, pools and relaxing on the float. Tammy will be remembered as loving mother, sister, and friend.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike McDowell officiating. Burial to follow at Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home and other times at her home, 102 Averett Court, South Boston, VA.
