Thomas Alvin Conner

Thomas Alvin Conner of Scottsburg, VA passed away December 18, 2024, at the age of 71. He was born in Halifax County on August 4, 1953, to the late Ernest Wilson Conner, Sr. and the late Alice Seamster Conner. He was married to Loretta Thomas Conner who survives. 

 He was a member of Scottsburg Baptist Church where he served as a former deacon, and he also attended Grace Baptist Church. Thomas retired from Dominion Power after 24 years of dedicated service. He then started his own business “Tommy Conner - Heating & Air”. He was a master gardener and a member of the Rock Hunting Club. Mr. Conner served the Scottsburg community through his role as a past volunteer fireman. He was also a local youth baseball coach. Tommy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His passing will leave a void to all who knew him.

 A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 21, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home.
