Thomas Owen "Scott" Lowery, Jr.

Thomas Owen “Scott” Lowery, Jr. of Rolesville, NC and formerly of Halifax County passed away February 17,2019.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on January 5, 1963 and was 56 years of age. He was the son of Thomas O. Lowery, Sr. and Lois Lewis Lowery.

Scott worked for Builders First Source in Wake Forest and Apex, NC before complications of ALS “Lou Gehrig’s Disease” forced him to retire in 2017. Scott continued to work after being diagnosed and remained upbeat despite the toll the disease took on his body.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends Saturday, one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of his parents, 204 Sycamore Road, South Boston, VA
