Mrs. Velma Q. Tidwell of South Boston, VA passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 at her home. She was born March 26, 1951 in Coke, VA and was 69 years old. She was the daughter of the late Charles L. Quillian and the late Dorothy Hall Quillian and was married to the late Lewis Henry Tidwell. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church. Mrs. Velma Q. Tidwell is survived by: Two Daughters Dorothy Elaine Ellis (Robbie) of South Boston, VA Crystal M. Malechek of West Point, VA One Son Charles Lewis Tidwell (Christina) of South Boston Grandchildren Rebecca Ellis, Kaitlyn Tidwell, Haley Tidwell, Kelli Culbertson, Justin Williamson, Deanna McCubbins, Michael McCubbins, Deonna Shelton, Dakota Loftis, Tabitha McCubbins, and Serenity Palmer Brother Ronald Quillian of Texas Sisters Gladys Allen and Sharon Hardin of Virginia Host of nieces and nephews Best friend Linda Pittman *Preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Tidwell, a brother, Charles R. Quilliam and sisters, Rita Cannup, Aleta Smoot, and Jean Johnston. A special thanks to caregivers, Mandy Stevens, Nancy Stevens, and Judy Mulchi Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grace Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev.
