Venus Throckmorton Cochran

Venus “Vicki” Throckmorton Cochran of South Boston, VA passed away March 8, 2022.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on March 14, 1956 and was 65 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Leonard Grayson Throckmorton Sr. and the late Mildred “Girdie” Adkins Throckmorton.

Vicki was a retired nurse from Person County Memorial Hospital. She was an avid reader, and loved to travel, especially to   the beach. Vicki loved family gatherings and was an exceptional and dedicated nurse since 1980. She loved all animals especially the cats around her home. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Daniel Thomas officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at her home.
