Virginia Tuck Smith

Mrs. Virginia Tuck Smith of Scottsburg, VA passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at the Woodview Nursing Home. She was born May 21, 1926 in Halifax County, VA and was 94 years old. She was the daughter of the late Louis P. Tuck and the late Laura Miller Tuck and was married to the late Cephas Bernard Smith. She was a member of Scottsburg Baptist Church. Mrs. Virginia Tuck Smith is survived by: One Son Wayne Keith Smith and wife Nancy of Scottsburg, VA One Daughter Melba Smith Tyler and husband Stephen of Richmond, VA Five Grandchildren James, Jonathan, Katie, Samuel and Michael Tyler all of Richmond, VA A number of nieces and nephews ***Preceded in death by*** One sister, Flossie Tuck Ward Two brothers, Charnie Tuck and Louie Tuck Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 21, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Scottsburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Kermit Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Scottsburg, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Scottsburg Baptist Church Fellowship Hall and other times at her home, 1056 MacDonald Rd., Scottsburg, VA.
