Warren Frederick Bowen, Sr.

Maj. Warren Frederick Bowen, Sr. of Yorktown, VA passed away January 11, 2024 at the age of 91.   He was born in Calvert County, MD on January 7, 1933 to the late Samuel Charles Bowen, Sr. and the late Clara Whittington Bowen.  He was married to Doris Dameron Bowen who survives.

 

He was a member of Mt. Laurel United Methodist Church, Mt Laurel Ruritan Club, Clover Lions Club and ran Circle Bar B Summer Youth Camp.  Warren retired from the United States Air Force after an illustrious 20-year military career spanning through the Korean Conflict and Vietnam Era.   He enjoyed playing golf, flying jets, and RV camping.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Laurel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dave Morano. 

 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service at the church and there will be a reception in the fellowship hall immediately following the service.
