Wesley Gene Roberts

Wesley Gene Roberts of Alton, VA passed away February 24, 2019.  He was born in Halifax County on September 8, 1937 and was 81 years of age. He was the son of the late Beverly “Bill” Roberts and the Late Martha Jane Vaughan Roberts. He was married Bernice Dunaway Roberts.

He was a member of Halifax Baptist Church.  He was a loving husband, Father and Grandfather. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, a good joke, racing and wrestling.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Halifax Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Eddie Collins officiating.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 26 at Powell Funeral Home from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. and other times at his home, 1189 Snow Hill Road, Alton, VA.
