William Martin Godwin, Jr.

William Martin Godwin of South Boston, VA passed away December 28, 2020.  He was born in Raleigh, NC on December 12, 1941 and was 79 years of age. He was the son of the late William Martin Godwin, Sr. and the late Lanie Wade Godwin.

He was of the Episcopal Faith. William graduated from East Carolina University where he played football. He enjoyed going to ECU Football games and tailgating.   He worked in the Halifax County School System for over forty years and retired as Vice Principal.  William was an avid reader, a history buff, enjoyed movies, and loved Duke Basketball.
