William Morgan Miller, Jr, of South Boston, VA passed away February 20, 2022. He was born in Halifax County, VA on July 14, 1958 and was 63 years of age. Morgan was the loving husband of Heidi Stutts Miller of the home, devoted father of daughter Jordan (Washington, DC) and son Will (Great Falls, MT). He is the son of William Morgan “Bill” Miller and Helen Jordan Miller, who survive.
Morgan was a true entrepreneur and owned several businesses since graduating from Virginia Polytechnic and State University in 1980. He was a kind, generous soul who was quick to offer a helping hand wherever needed. His faith and family were the center of his life. A life-time member of St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church, Morgan served on the Parish Council and oversaw building and grounds needs for decades. He enjoyed life to its fullest by hiking, camping, canoeing and actively participating in numerous civic organizations. He was an active member of the Jaycees where he served as president, a member of Sons of the American Legion, Post 8 and a coach for numerous youth athletic teams.
Morgan is survived by his wife, Heidi S. Miller; his daughter, Jordan Miller; his son, Will Miller; his parents, Helen and Bill Miller; his four siblings Dede Miller Nelson (Allen) of Cary, NC, Lydia Miller Sigillito (John) of Park Ridge, NJ, John Miller (Vicky) of Oviedo, FL, and Laura Miller Leal (Tony) of Powhatan, VA; his parents-in-law Tom and Edith Stutts of Alton, VA; his sister-in-law Catherine Stutts Foscato (Steve) of Raleigh, NC. He had 13 nieces and nephews in addition to 5 great nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 11:30 A.M. at St. Paschal Catholic Church with Father Raner Lucila officiating. Burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Powell Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
