William "Buck" Ellis Vaughan, Jr.

Mr. William Ellis “Buck” Vaughan, Jr. of Scottsburg, VA passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the Commonwealth Assisted Living Facility.

He was born March 15, 1928 in Halifax County, VA and was 95 years old.  He was the son of the late William Ellis Vaughan, Sr. and the late Mattie T. Vaughan and was married to the late Frances Hastings Vaughan.

He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and a retired car salesman. “Buck” was a talented musician who played guitar and loved bluegrass.

Graveside services were held Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Oak Ridge cemetery with the Rev. Kevin Moen officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside.
