William Randolph Womack, Sr.

William Randolph Womack, Sr. of Vernon Hill, VA passed away at home on October 13, 2020.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on January 21, 1927 and was 93 years of age. He was the son of the late S.H. Womack and the late Julie Elizabeth Moore Womack. He was married to Bertha Lacks Womack who survives. He was a member of the Methodist faith and was a long-timer farmer and an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Gail Womack Fultz of Vernon Hill, Brenda Couch (Jerry) of Halifax, and Alan T. Womack of Vernon Hill and two grandchildren William Randolph Womack, III and Brad Womack both of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by two sisters Frances Hughes and husband Eddie of Brookneal and Geneva Womack Bates and husband Charles of Vernon Hill and a brother-in-law Berkley Lacks of Chesterfield, VA. He was preceded in death by his son
